1. No vibration ?
A. Electrical
a. Check to see
if the power is off or controller turned down or off.
b. Check to see
if a fuse is blown.
c. Check the connections.
d. Check for
broken wires.
e. Check the
coil it may be overheated or shorted out.
B. Mechanical
a. Is there a
gap between the coil and the striker plate?
b. Is the bowl
making contact with other equipment?
c.
Check the springs, generally
these break at the edge of the base lug or
the edge
of the cross-arms. Check welds and bolts for breakage.
2. Slow, irregular vibration or loud abnormal sound?
A. Electrical
a. Is the input voltage fluctuating?
b. Is there a loose connection?
B. Mechanical
a. Check all bolts for looseness or breakage, especially
bolts holding spring
packs
together.
b. Is everything level?
c. Is the bowl overloaded?
d. Is the bowl making contact with other
equipment?
e. Is the table or plate causing interference vibration?
Stands or tables must be
level,
rigid, and of adequate strength to not set up its’ own resistant vibration.
f.
Is the coil gap too
close or too far?
g. Is there excessive dirt or oil in bowl?
h.
Is the base unit
improperly tuned?
